In honor of Thanksgiving, I am writing a review for an old book which I am thankful for. The pearl is the tale of a man name Kino, his wife Juana, and there dying baby Coyotito. In this story Kino lives at the bay so his "pueblo" (village) is known for there pearls. After Kino's son is bit by a scorpion and the doctor refuses to see the child without pay Kino goes out to search for pearls.
While searching Kino finds the legendary "Pearl of Life". After finding this Kino becomes very greedy, and his fate takes a turn after getting robbed twice, fighting with the traitors, and getting his house burned down Kino, his wife, and son flea. While fleeing great tragedy strikes his family forcing his family to return and destroy the pearl

The Greatest Zombie Movie Ever

The Greatest Zombie Movie Ever
Jeff Strand
272 pages
ISBN 9781492628149
Release date March 1, 2016
TEEN BLOGGER was given permission to read, and write about by Source Books Fire
Just give me a second to say how honored I am to be giving this review for Mr. Strand, he is a talented author. I have read all three of his YA novels which include, I Have A Bad Feeling About This, A Bad Day For Voodoo, and now The Greatest Zombie Movie Ever.
This book is ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, NOT ABOUT ZOMBIES, instead it's about a boy, Justin and his two friends Gabe and Bobby who plan on creating the greatest zombie movie ever. With two weeks one- thousand dollars, a crooked special- affects man, an unfinished and unrealistic script. Will these boys make the best or worst zombie movie ever.
MY THOUGHTS: As a 14 year old reader I was really captured by the sarcasm, realistic, and crude world these teens live in. Sometimes I truly wonder if Jeff Strand still goes to middle or high School, just for the experience. This book was great and I love how the characters are completely different, Justin is optimistic, Gabe is realistic, and Bobby is.... well, Bobby. This is your typical teenage trio. Thank you Source Books Fire and Jeff Strand for the opportunity to read your book it truly was an honor.
Absolutely Highly- highly recommend it

101 Movies To See Before You Grow UP,  is truly a book for young ones, and teens who are interested in the movie industry. The book is an overall view of all the movies any kid, pre- teen, and teens should see. As a teen myself I will definitely take some of the advice. It is nice that they give me an overview of the movies, it also includes: The director, release date, what it's rated, and runtime. This came in at a perfect time because I'm on Thanksgiving break, and will be on Christmas break so now I have "101 Movies To Watch)
Thank you   http://www.goodreads.com/ for the opportunity to read this book, and a warm thank you to the publishing company for sending it to me

Selp Helf

Selp Helf
Colleen Evans, and Christopher Ballinger
231 pages
ISBN 978-1-5011-1794-7
ISBN (EBOOK) 978-1-5011-1797-8
Let's face it today technology has overrun teens and America in general. The one thing that has overrun teens specifically though, is You Tube. This book "Selp Helf" was written by a "youtuber" and her brother based off her perky, fictional persona Miranda Sings. She uploads videos every Tuesday, and Thursday this funny big- lipped character has teens around the world laughing out loud.
In this book you get a true, clear version of Miranda's take on the world, which she believes isn't as perfect as herself. There's alot of how to "attempt" to be as perfect as Miranda tips, but who are we fooling we'll never be as perfect as this "queen". This book also has alot of humor and sarcasm just like her videos, which is great to see she's the same on, and off camera.
There are tons of activities throughout the book, so you won't ever get bored you read for a little, color for a little, quiz for a little, cut out things for a little, and my personal favorite make crafts. This book also contains bar codes for you to scan, and unlock hidden Miranda videos, which are indeed hilarious. If you can't get enough of Miranda Sings, like me this is definitely the book for you.
MY THOUGHTS: as a "Mirfanda" (fan of Miranda Sing) I was already in love with the book before actually reading it. As I did read it though, I was falling even more in love with the character Miranda Sings. She is hysterical and full of life, sometimes when I am down in the dumps, I pull out my copy and open to a random page and begin to read. Boom! I forget instantly why I was mad, and begin to fall over laughing. I've read the book like five times (although there's alot of pictures) and I will continue to re-read it. She has gotten me through some sad times, and made them better.
Highly- highly recommend it

Diary of a Wimpy Kid OLD SCHOOL

Diary of a Wimpy Kid OLD SCHOOL
Jeff Kinney
217 pages
Book 10
ISBN (Hardback) 978-1-4197-1701-7
ISBN (EBOOK) 978-1-61312827-5
Fiction

Jeff Kinney, you did it again another laugh out loud tale of a wimpy boy Greg Hefley. Finally we see more of Greg's grandfather, who moves in with them due to a price raise at Leisure Towers, so now Grandpa takes over Greg's room and Greg is forced to bunk with Manny. We also welcome a new member to the family... a pig. Yes, a pig he walks on two hooves and practically  is treated like a human. And finally the moment we've all been waiting for..... Rodrick finally gets a job and wait for it.. wait for it.. KEEPS A JOB. Now in this diary Greg's kicking it back "Old School.''
When Greg's mother petitions to have a day where all electronics aren't used for forty-eight hours he doesn't believe people are actually going to sign it, but she gets it to happen after grandpa has a party and Greg's mom gets the elderly people there to sign it. Greg has an interesting forty-eight hours full of imprisoned juveniles, volunteers, and some really crazy girl scouts. After this dad leaves town and Greg acts stupidly right away.
After messing up a pipe and making a water stain on the kitchen roof grandpa takes Greg to go get paint using dad's car. Long story-short they manage to get it in a ditch, now Greg has no choice, but to go on a school field-trip to "Hardscrabble Farms" for a week. No junk food allowed will Greg survive without the snacks or will the mythical "Silas Scratch" get him? Read the book to find out.
MY THOUGHTS: This book is by far the best Diary of a Wimpy Kid book ever. I honestly read it in a day and  twenty-five minutes. The timing in the story was great and I like how more sarcastic Greg is, it shows the hormones are in full gear. I don't love  the ending it left me with allot of questions about the relationship of Greg and his father. I also want to question how long did Rodrick stay at his job, and the pig what happens to him. I truly hope for book eleven to answer these questions.
Highly Recommend it
